Advertised subscription price is the smallest of the three real cost lines. For a typical 5-tech shop processing $30k/month by card, the stack looks like: platform ~$197, processing ~$900, add-ons $0–150. That is why our guidance is to budget the platform at $150–$300/month for a 5-person business and treat processing as a separate, negotiable line. The cheapest platform at 5 users (Housecall Pro, $149) is rarely cheapest at 15 once add-ons stack; the most expensive SMB option at 5 users (FieldPulse, $340) is linear and predictable. Tier cliffs, not sticker prices, generate most billing surprises reported by owners.
